Memoir writing is so engaging. The students are filled with personal stories that are special to them. I love the sharing that students are doing everyday in class. We will continue to to work on generating ideas for this important work. In Social Studies, we choose our topics for Mayan Mini-Project.

Today, we announced the winners of Teen Activist Commercials! Remember, 50% of the WHOLE classes' proceeds from the Middle Ages Faire will go to the winning cause. CONGRATS. We also started our memoir writing unit. We discussed what a memoir is versus personal narratives versus autobiographies. In addition, we created a "special place" map to spark memories. In SS, we continued to talk about the Mayan Civilization.
